Diagnostic Tests 3-186 3 INRPT - Interrupt Control Registers This test verifies that the bits in the IPIC Interrupt Control Registers are functioning normally. It does so by configuring each register for: ❏ Level zero ❏ Interrupts enabled ❏ Toggling the polarity bit This sets the INT (interrupt) status bit without generating an interrupt. The same steps are repeated for each interrupt level up to and including level seven, expecting and servicing interrupts for every level above zero. The test passes if this entire sequence is successful for all eight IPIC interrupt control registers. After testing, IPIC registers are returned to their original configuration.
